Hi there, Scrapbook Challengers! Cheryl here, with the first of many features on our Design Team members. Our blog hop (exciting!!!) from January 13 to 16 will help you get familiar with the DT as well – but here, we’re going to give each member their time in the spotlight so that you can really understand what makes them tick.
So, today, let’s start off with….(drumroll)….Brynn Marie! She’s the one who’s taken Scrapbook Challenges to the dizzy new heights of having its very own URL. She’s toiled and troubled, laughed and cried, hoped and prayed, cursed a few fly-by-night freelance webbies, and suffered the trauma of crashing computers deciding to delete all their files. But despite it all being rather… challenging… she is now looking at 2012 with bright eyes and a happy heart, because SC members have stuck by and showed their loyalty and patience. We’re up and running again, with challenges and inspiration galore for the coming year.
But onto the lady herself…

I interviewed Brynn and here’s what she had to say:
Q. In one sentence, describe your scrapper personality.
A. I am a single-photo, white-space scrapper who likes to focus on telling the story on my layouts.
Q. Where do you find your inspiration?
A. I am inspired by color and pattern. I love to just go to the fabric store and browse through all the different fabrics – there is so much texture and depth there. If I am at home on my computer you will usually find me on Pinterest… I am totally addicted to that site. I love it because it’s like peeking into other people’s creative minds to see what they like and what inspires them too! Another of my big inspirations is the DT here at Scrapbook Challenges. Seeing so many different ladies take the exact same sketch and interpret it in their own way and make it their own is really amazing.
Q. Have you noticed any themes running through your layouts that identify them as yours?
A. Most of my pages seem to focus on specific events. I lost my mom a month after I turned 21; at that age you’re not thinking about asking your parents about the first time you had pigtails in your hair, or ate snow. The little things like that are what I want my kids to know about and be able to remember.
I asked Brynn to pick her favorite layout that she has made.

Q. Why is this your favorite page?
A. It may seem conceited but I like this page because it’s about me. Most my pages are about my kids and my family – I very seldom scrap about myself, so I was proud that I pulled so many things together to create a page about my childhood… and I just love the hodge podge of elements and pictures!
So there you go. That’s Brynn, in a very tiny nutshell. Come visit Scrapbook Challenges for more opportunities to get to know her and her fantastic digi creations!
Look out soon for the next Meet the DT post!
